When you request an item, you immediately get the link to the item page. That’s what I use to then add tags, comments and whatnot. I feel like it would not be helpful to clutter the request page with these things as they are only a click away… What do you think of this approach?

Maybe adding a question “Would you like to add tags?” or something, which would then open the option, to the request page could be a compromise. It would add the possibility to add tags already when adding items without cluttering the page unnecessarily.
