and since it’s an informal reading club in the end I wanted to share my favorite panel this volume and that I personally found it funny
(and that it reminded me of a horror game called “The Forest”)
Man, you’ve got so much good stuff here @shablul! Sorry I’ve been pretty absent; I’ve been busier than I thought I would be with the holidays. Haven’t even had a chance to go grab the newest volume. :<
don’t worry about it lol
the only reason I was able to grab and read the new volume is because I procastinated things and now it’s biting me in the arse ![]()

@eefara I’m thinking of converting this thread into a plain 関西弁辞書 and use a variety of other manga as well to add examples from, wanted to ask for your opinion since I’m unsure if it’s a good idea to let go of a hikaru book club
I’d say go for it! We can always start another Hikaru thread in the future if need be.
今川焼き(いまがわやき)=大判焼き(おおばんやき)=回転焼き(かいてんやき)
I totally forgot about this thread till just now… will have to spend some time perusing
I’m considering adding stuff from 舞妓さんちのまかないさん 1 | L26 as I read - which is Kyouto rather than Oosaka. Would it make sense to add a “Region” column to the tables? Or should I just not the that as 舞妓さんちのまかないさん。大阪弁 (or 大阪弁。舞妓さんちのまかないさん)? …
光が死んだ夏 too would have some Mie specific stuff - though maybe you accounted for that already w/ the examples? I’ve only partially looked
I’m assuming this post has the usual “3 consecutive comments per person” rule? … in which case, I’ll have to initially put new entires into a single comment I guess? ![]()
It’s general 関西弁 so Kyoto and such works well too ![]()
Sry, I don’t understand what you’re saying. Are you saying there’s no need to specify region? Or something else?
It means that anything in the Kansai region is relevant.
So that includes Osaka, kyoto, nara, Wakayama, hyogo, mie and shiga
Cool, but my question was: I want to note the regional usage where relevant. Should I add a new Region column, or just add a comma/period in the Notes column, in order to do that?
My preference is for the former, since it’s neater
