I will also go for the stock 50 hours. I’m trying to hit 500 total hours by the end of the year and 50 hours is enough of a push toward that goal without being overwhelming. Hopefully this challenge will help keep me from failing my larger goal as I have been sorely lacking in listening practice for the past few months.
Initial plans
I may listen to the occasional podcast, but it will almost definitely be in the background, so I won’t count it. I may listen to a couple Drama CDs or watch a few Youtube videos if I happen upon something interesting, but I don’t have a plan for anything in particular there.
Mostly, I’m going to be watching TV. Mostly anime, as that is a lot easier to access than Japanese live action in the west and the live action shows that I have watched have been hit or miss.
