Bug: Tags don't always apply to all volumes of a series in list filter

Description of your request or bug report:
When I filter my list by tag, some series only show some volumes instead of all of them. It always seems to be the later volumes, so maybe there’s some kind of syncing issue when new volumes are added to a series.

You can add tags to just individual volumes. It could be someone tagging one book and not the series, so it’s possible that’s what’s happening.

From the user side I can’t imagine there’s a way to tell if a tag was imported or if it was user generated, but I wonder if there’s a way to differentiate on the backend…

I was under the impression that just like difficulty levels, tags are applied to entire series by default. In any case, in this case the tag is listed on the series page and each volume’s page, including the volumes that aren’t properly being filtered on my list.

If that’s the case that sounds like a bug.

I have definitely seen tags on individual volumes of a series before (which makes sense especially with specific plot element tags), although I don’t know what happens if you search by that tag wrt the whole series.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I’m sure that’s really important for those mystery series with largely unrelated volumes. For manga, I think the tags tend to make sense for an entire series.

Yeah because of this reason this is a bug.

It looks like those later volumes were not in the book search index at all because they were recently synced.

There may be a bug around books added through syncing not being marked ‘active’ and being put into the book search index.

I just marked those dorega books active and now they appear
