I’ve been cracking a video of 习近平. Some skits in it use traditional characters, actually. (Not to mention YouTube platform, and using Google Translate in the platform to translate EN=>CN.)
I’ve been watching (and cracking) a documentary about Lop Nur - Wikipedia
I was watching a YouTube suggestion, of 11/11 but other than Pocky day. (
is 11/1, though)
And then, more on numbers.
I was watching (and cracking) this historical footage.
And then this comedy one that I don’t crack much. (I am also curious about 法国)
I wrote this in WaniKani Community, and I think I should also copy it here.
Watching a video about 海参崴, at far east of Russia ![]()
海参 is sea cucumber, and there is another JP name.
And then, another one about 琉球
I have been listening / reading / watching this one (and copy+write some parts) – 【論語】プロ通訳が教える「学びて時に之を習う」の深い意味。本質的な学びは“家”と“鳥”にあり?(学而時習之)
with explanation from 蕅益法師
About 学 (watched via YouTube also)
I plan to Read Every Day for this month.

Particularly, I want to track what I read for each day, so that I can contemplate on those. Maybe picking a topic from what I listen? (albeit poor listening comprehension.) Tracking can be done footnotes in the calendar like this [17]
In addition, I want to avoid counting VN (though it depends); as it’s more of quantity than quality; speed rather than letting tire out. It’s also about OCR quality. I could devise an app with DeepSeek LLM API support for better OCR plausibility and context understanding, but making one sounds tiring.
I notice that Natively don’t have Speak Every Day Challenge yet. I don’t think think it’s necessarily hard once you get passed the basics, but I am not used the learning style (persistent non-self-study). How many foreign language did I get passed to actual speaking and fruitful conversation?

I couldn’t help but notice the top here..
It is, I swear! It’s just harder to do books for, since we can’t do Amazon. I’d put it after English/French in terms of priority.
You’re right though, probably not going to happen super soon ![]()
And I assume you also have to do “two languages” right? Simplified and Traditional
It’s one language, Mandarin, but can be written with a more fancy font (though rarely, differently shaped letters swapped) (when similarly shaped, unicode doesn’t reliable use the same code point, and that also applies to Kanji sometimes). On the listening aspect, there is no difference other than regional word choice.
I read both, but focusing on memorizing Mandarin with simplified characters, relying more on guessing for traditional ones. (Pleco / Yomitan can look up for both anyway.)
I added Baidu to Firefox custom search engine. It gives Chinese results for English spelling “DeepSeek”. I disable geo location for the time being, though.

I am listening to 独树不成林 recently, which I don’t really understand that much. Plus series/episode artworks are amazing.

But I don’t really plan to read every day. Maybe I should try harder.
