Usually you can tell on kindle because you get a weird blank space where the text ends before turning the page, but sometimes it sneaks up on you if the page break falls just right…

Regarding the actual topic, I don’t think I’ve encountered much nudity in manga. The first time I encountered this was 此花亭奇譚 新装版 | L31 and sequel series このはな綺譚 | L31, which was definitely a shock. It takes place in at a hot spring inn following the workers there (oh also they are fox girls for reasons) and there’s just casual nudity. Like, it makes sense in the context, but it’s not obscured at all.
The only other series I can think of that had some nudity was 青い花 | L27, but it was more censored and tasteful (and infrequent, unlike このはな). I’m sure there are other occurrences I’m not remembering, but I don’t think there was anything major. There are really a ton of bath scenes though. Still need to be careful reading manga in public because of bath scenes or yuri.

The nudity is not that much of a culture shock for me personally (I’m from Europe, but I also don’t think we are that more open about it…), but the amount of Manga where a grown person gets in a relationship/marries a 12-year-old are really freaking me out, to be honest.

You probably come from a very different background than me, but nudity here, is very normal.
Topless women sunbathing in public.
People are naked in the sauna - and sauna is mixed gender.
People openly breastfeed in public.
Children run around naked in summer.
No one cares.
A librarian is unlikely to care beyond the book being returned on time and in good condition.

I guess there’s sort of two levels to it, public-facing and personal take (or 本音 and 建前? maybe? lol).
On a personal level the only thing I get weirded out about is the loli/underage stuff [or maybe more accurately a complete failure to take into account power dynamics in relationships] which pops up disturbingly common even in mainstream work. Like, there’s being puerile or juvenile like Shin-chan running around with his arse out or the sexy-no-jutsu or whatever, and then there’s, idk, the side character who just happens to have a ‘hilarious’ fetish for collecting young girl’s panties. Yeesh.
But aside from that, especially after spending time in Japan, nudity is just… fine. Honestly I wish there was more of a culture of nudity where I am, we could do with more onsens imho and getting used to non-sexual nudity is probably a net positive.
Though equally I’m not running around looking at R18 stuff on the reg. I’m enjoying a rather fun sex comedy manga atm which is extremely casual about sex and relationships and stuff, but it’s definitely not one I’m reading on the train.

Hmmm yeah I guess I have to retract my statement that I don’t think we are that much more open, because I forgot how normal all of the listed things are to me or more like, I forgot it’s not normal everywhere else. 
(Also just to add, Europe is not one homogeneous place and I am only speaking for my home country, Austria, it’s just a habit to say I’m from Europe because people are often confused what Austria is… Even inside Europe.)

Nope, can’t remember because it’s been a while but it was an M/F sex scene, literally just a page or two. It might’ve been like a character watching porn or something?? It’s a bit of a blur. From memory i’m pretty sure they’re both adults though! I should give it another chance but it didn’t grab me enough clearly because I really can’t remember much of what it’s about

ah crap, from the cover I assumed it was yuri… If it’s not, then yeah I wouldn’t have expected a sex scene from that either

It is yuri, which made it all the more a shock lol. I went to double check and yeah, first this male character watches porn in the middle of a page, and later there’s a flashback to het sex, which is only two panels and not that graphic but very obvious and not appropriate for the train I was on -_-
