Haven’t really been doing any SRS lately… so I figured this is as good a time as any to start in on the vocab for this. Right now I have 335 Due words (in jpdb), before I even get to the New words 
. Anyway, figured I’d mention in case anyone else is inspired to join

I am questioning my ability with the number of lookups I have rn in 妖魔と下僕の契約条件 1 | L29. Like I’m following the story, but it’s the first time I’ve read a multiple lookups in a single sentence book in a long time

Just think how much 妖魔と下僕 is preparing you for future L30+ books, though (like this one). Every extra lookup is like learning 200% extra.

Me when I started reading 凜として弓を引く | L26?? and had to look up like 19 words in the first Kindle page (size 2), after having barely looked anything up in 2 months (it was a lot of shrine stuff)
I abandoned them, and am just starting Chronologically… There’s some fun words already
Read a little of the beginning too, just to get the feel. Even with lookups, it’s passing the vibe check for me… Not gonna continue till we start, but just wanted to get a sense.

Lost beginner here!
Just made an acc to check the website out.
Is there a setting to make the study set smaller? In dash it gives me reasonably small sets (6-10 terms at a time) but in Flesh&Blood it’s 50 terms and uhh my attention span could never handle that much vocab I don’t know at all in one go

so the list is the list…but you choose to study what you want and set quantities to whatever you want as well - you can mark stuff as known w/o studying too
renshuu is list schedule based which probably won’t make much sense until you play with it for a bit
but basically you can take any list, check out the community resources and then add it to it’s own schedule… in this case clicking on the list and click on the calendar
type in a name (mine is already setup) but call it whatever you want and click make schedule
follow through save everything and go back to your main page
-from there you should have your new schedule named whatever you chose…
click the settings button and then you can change what and how you want to study … the pro stuff are the paid options but you don’t have to use those
the restrict to mastery level keeps everything multiple choice and then once you meet or pass that srs level it makes it type in the box - newer feature lots of people wanted I guess…
click on more settings and it opens up the bulk of the controls (at the bottom there are even more
main reason to go into advanced is if you wanted to modify the srs intervals
the beginning of these though is there you can change the number of reviews
by default the system doesn’t show you the full number of terms in the list (I prefer to see it so these are my settings)
Also it will limit your daily lessons but easy to override if you wish… and I recommend checking the don’t learn new items until reviews are done. That way when you go to the review you get your existing first and you don’t necessarily have to do new lessons if you don’t want to - note you can change these at any time… you could have 1 lesson a day or 100… up to you.
I’m assuming this list (even with dups removed) is in the order they words were added from the book so if you keep the in order added, expect they end up in the order we encounter them in the book
few last things…
Study vectors… it’s how many ways you see the flashcard… you get a flashcard for each one you click… DANGER don’t click them all unless you want a lot of cards (you can…but it will warn you about doing this)… if you choose to go this route, you can click the multiple study option if you so choose …
Renshuu can be a little clunky sometimes but once you find a way you like to do your reviews (schedules), set them up however you like. I usually keep the same sort of sets for all my lists unless it’s something I’m not particularly worried about.
Note that all the “pro” feature check boxes are paid, but it’s not required for regular srs cards. I am pro user because it is so inexpensive relative to so many other services and I really wanted a lot of the additional sentence review options (I have imported sentences form yomitan and can review things in context from stuff I’ve read vs isolation). Pro goes on sale usually and that time is coming… it’s usually only about 100 bucks for lifetime… cheap compared with a lot of other services. No pressure or anything though it honestly isn’t required.
Also renshuu has a very very active discord server and if you have questions about stuff or need help, there are so many people there you can get help immediately.
Oh I meant to mention when you study or add new stuff…you have full control as you go…it’s not the wk insanity that is… a review screen from
You can adjust mastery (srs) level of the term, mark wrong or correct or redo the question… or just go to the next one (usually)

If you already know a word you can mark it known or tell it not to study so you don’t have to go through all almost 900 terms if you don’t need or want to
When a term has audio you can usually click listen (not AI generated - though audio quality may or may not be that great)…
clicking sentences will bring up an example sentence within renshuu for the vocab term if you want to see it in context, clicking sentences again will bring up another one etc…
I don’t really use the write it but you can use that to practice writing the hiragana or kanji
Hopefully this helps a bit…renshuu is very customizable to how you want to study … it just takes some getting used to. Don’t even have to use it just for F&B groups, you can study kanji, grammar, sentences, etc…
You can import and build your own lists - there are really a lot of various tools, even games and crosswords in the system to play with.
