Sorting by “Latest” in the Product Requests area of the forum displays threads in the same order as sorting by “Votes”, with old threads that have high numbers of votes at the top instead of threads with recent posts.
That should be reported to Discourse directly on https://meta.discourse.org.
Sorry, this was me! I configured the discourse category setting wrong - I changed the default sorting rather than changing the default tab.
Now it should work properly - the default tab will be ‘votes’ but the sorting behavior should all be correct.
