I read the first volume of the manga but don’t remember this at all, but that’s hilarious 
‘whoopsies, washed away’. I read it on a free time limit too so can’t check. I guess maybe it’s their fault for sailing recklessly during a storm?

That’s my best guess as well; only thing is is that everyone on board was knocked overboard, she just happened to be the only one not picked up in stormy water, haha.
