💧 🌕 Home Thread for ティアムーン帝国物語 vol 1 - Setting up

It’s a shame that seems that they won’t be continuing them in Junior form (Last volume seems to be published in 2024).

I’ve seen this happen before sadly, I was surprised to find the audiobook had been completed, since those usually also get dropped unless they are popular.

I wish I read fast enough to do that, but alas :smiling_face_with_tear:

Yeah, if I really want to continue beyond that point I’ll probably switch to audiobook, or maybe audiobook + book.

I don’t think it’s possible to handle the endless recaps & repetitions of Hamefura if you binge it…

That’s my plan for when I run out of Honzuki Junior edition~

If you want to continue we can do an informal book club after we are finished with this.

The recaps are less awful if you don’t have to spend a lot of time/brain power on them. Hamefura is at the perfect level for me where I can just breeze through it. I wish this was true for all books. :see_no_evil_monkey:

I honestly didn’t mind them all that much, it was improving my skimming in Japanese skills

For what it’s worth, I’ve found Silent Witch to be a lot easier than Tearmoon Empire but that might just be because I’ve had 2 years of japanese gainz since I read tearmoon vol1. May be interesting to try again this time without the audiobook carrying me

Tearmoon Empire being a lot harder than the hardest thing I ever read before (Silent Witch) doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence either :smiling_face_with_tear:

So glad I went with the audiobook sale + read along because you are all scaring me with the level of the book

I’m in exactly this position too. On one hand I want to read along, on the other hand I struggle enough when reading Silent Witch.

In addition, I also regret not reading along with the previous book.

Maybe give the full-furigana version a try?

Inspired by @Mara I ended up getting the 1-5 set for 1700JPY for the Junior version from Mercari.

I’ll most likely will try to jump to the adult version afterwards and try not to despair while at it. Hopefully is doable reading along the audiobook and having been introduced via the first volumes with the Junior version.

Seems like we’ll run this at 30 pages per week.

Allow me to bug you with one more poll before I move on to the schedule creation.

I’m really tempted thanks to that.

After some investigation:
The first chapter of the third tsubasabunko version(the furigana one) is the same chapter as the first chapter of the regular second volume. Or simply put, it appears that the first two of the tsubasabunko volumes correspond to the first regular one.

Knowing that, I think I’ll join!

Maybe when someone gets their hands on the Tsubasa Bunko physical version, can put the equivalent stop pages.

Mine are still on the way to the proxy warehouse.

The chapters being short as they are, I was low-key planning on just writing “chapters 19-23 (included)” to the schedule.
