Finished watching カラオケ行こ! and oh boy, I didn’t expect the amount of Osaka dialect. Not gonna lie, it was VERY hard for me to follow everything and I frequently had to switch subtitles back on. If anyone finds the JPN subtitles, let me know!

I also realized that this belongs to the anime and manga with the same name, somehow I didn’t connect that at all because I thought that was a BL, and I didn’t know it was a middle schooler in the main role. I don’t know what happens in the sequel, but just from this movie, some peole are calling this BL-coded is 
I don’t know how others feel about this, I generally like a good age gap but only if both characters are well above legal age when they first met.
If anything, I would have thought something happening between Satomi and his classmates from the film or choir club (who I thought were the same for half the movie … did I say I had issues following sometimes?)
That aside, I enjoyed the movie, it was a very interesting dynamic and I actually liked the acting performances quite a lot.
