So it is different time periods! I have to say I find that slightly hard to believe, since they’ve been hanging out for so long. You’re telling me no one ever brought their modern cell phone to the castle and then Aki and Subaru were never like ‘hey what the fuck is that’? When January started, absolutely no one was like hey let’s go 1989!! When they’re talking about manga or whatever, no one said hey Subaru why do you have such retro vintage tastes? Haven’t you read Naruto? 
Oh well, at least this chapter was exciting, I read almost all of it in a day! Now I’m not sure what’s going to happen, because didn’t Kokoro use the one wish on saving Aki? Won’t their memories be erased? If everyone’s memories are erased then there was no point to this whole adventure anyways, because wouldn’t they just go back to the same thought patterns they had before they went to the castle?
In all honesty, I was a little annoyed this was the answer. That was my first thought, and for all your reasons (plus clothes styles, and the game system), I rejected it. It’s not a plot hole or anything, but it does feel like a logic hole to me that could have been just fine if there were just a few more breadcrumbs to make the time shifting plausible.
Anyway, other than that, this chapter was great, I also zoomed on through. Just two chapters left!!
