I’m digital.
I suppose I could try running the thread. I’m always a bit unsure what start dates to pull poll for, I suppose 1,2,3 weeks seem reasonable. With 1 or 2 chapters for pacing.
And AFAIK the forum software doesn’t allow me to look at the markdown or copy other posts. If there were I’d just copy the initial post from last thread (the 勇者 one). Can we add a template to the first post in this thread for things like new BCs? I only saw a nomination template.

Thanks!! And me too… If everyone is digital then 1-3 weeks for start date seems reasonable. If you’re gonna have a weekly schedule rather than (or together with) “read at your own pace”, those are good defaults I think

If you reply to the message you want to copy/see markdown for, you can click on the + menu and quote whole post. That will have the quotes around it you need to erase, but will be the entire post with all of its markdown. Makes copying much much easier.

I’m interested and have some books I want to nominate but I’m not sure if they’ve already been read. Is there a list somewhere with all the past reads for book clubs? Also are we only allowed to nominate one book at a time?

Girl gets reincarnated as the protagonist of an otome game but instead of going for the male love interests she decides to pursue the villainess who was also her favourite character in the original game. It’s a short LN series at only 5 novels. Ik there’s a slightly revised edition being published but it’s not fully out yet and I don’t know if anything much was changed other than new illustrations.

Reason(s) for nominating: POV: A monster transfers into your high school to watch over you. Already read this but it’s really good so I’ll nominate it. Talks about loneliness and depression and has really nice art. FYI it’s tagged as horror but the first volume isn’t scary (I don’t know about later volumes though)

Reason(s) for nominating: One of my favourite light novel series ever about two university-aged girls investigating a parallel world together. Also the love interest is Canadian which was cool to see lol. Just an fyi that (at least as someone who’s easily scared) this can get quite scary. It’s not tagged as horror on natively which is surprising since it’s much scarier than 私を喰べたいひとでなし. The manga is on the renomination list but I thought I’d recommend the LN instead since I really like it.

It’s horror the way Inuyasha is horror, including occasional gore.
I guess cuz it already had the supernatural tag? Idk I added the horror tag tho, cuz I agree. Jsyk anyone can add tags on Natively.
