After reading @Biblio’s suggestion, I found this in jisho: 蔵書家

There’s also 読書家 but maybe that’s not so easily distinguishable from 読者…

Nah I was more wondering about your filler character issue :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I didn’t check if it was on jisho, but what about 一目十行? It means fast reader rather than extensive reader, but it’s relevant (plus, you need to be a fast reader to complete the full thing… and it’s a 四字熟語)

Edit: it is on jisho, which translates it as “outstanding reading ability”. It’s not wrong.

Discourse just dislikes me. It won’t let me post multiple replies. It tells me to take my conversations into DMs. And now my replies are too short.

Sounds great for the highest rank :+1:

Hahaha no worries, I simply used a neat trick to overcome that limit - if you go to my short post, reply to it and then press the speech bubble in the upper left corner of the editor, you can see the full contents of my post :upside_down_face:

I like it too! It being 四字熟語 gives it a rare and accomplished feeling haha :joy:

I feel like this one is a bit on the fence since you can only achieve it if you’re at a certain level in your reading (might be unnecessary meddling from my part though)

Edit: btw I kinda assumed but the bingo is for anything you read right? Not just LN, but also manga and etc?

I wonder if the free space could be used for that if that was the last square for someone’s bingo?

I think this is exactly one such good case to use the free square! :point_up_2:t2:

And the scheming begins! I already stopped myself from reading the last volume of a series so I could save it for the bingo :joy:

What if it’s changed to “volume/story”? Then that would include manga (where a single volume isn’t always a single story, hence not replacing it with “story”) as well as short stories, graded readers, etc. Then beginners could still complete it and save their free spot for a different one if they wish

Good idea! Have added that now. :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks to everyone for the efforts to make this accessible for all levels!

We are all getting the same bingo card, or are the prompts thrown in a randomizer so we all get a random order like https://bingobaker.com/ ?

I guess if we were using that service we could even had put extra prompts that randomly appeared instead of cutting it.

Also we selected 16 top, but if we count the Free box currently in discussion, doesn’t that make it 15 prompts for a 4x4?

I was going to use bingo baker as @omk3 had suggested it. :slightly_smiling_face: Even if the order is random, everyone has the same prompts so it’s kind of standardized, right? Or I can just create one bingo board everyone uses so it’s truly standardized depending on what everyone wants. :ear:t2:

I guess it is technically 15 prompts! But I like letting people be able to choose which one they use the free space for, in case there is some prompt they don’t want to do.

btw another question just popped up in my head, what count as a finished bingo box?
does it only count if it’s read in it’s entirety or a majority of it or 25% enough if you decide to drop it?

I feel like 25% drop would be kinda cheating. Maybe more than half?

Makes a good strategy for speed running though

Maybe if we do the random order, make a rule to publish your own empty card when generated so nobody reshuffles the boxes by generating a new one?
