Per this report:
@brandon So scratch that, I’m now getting “time read” (watched) kind of activity just from marking a show completed (from watching) on the season page. It’s only one activity this time, but it’s still confusing and misleading. I most certainly did not watch 13 episodes all today, but since I don’t track episodes as I’m going (just like I don’t track pages in a book as I’m going) I get weird activity. Is this a bug? I feel it should only show episode/time information if I explicitly mark episode…

I don’t know if that’s the intended behavior of the code, but I agree that’s what it should be
Marking a book or show as finished via “simple” updates, such as selecting finished from the book/video page or using the “basic info” popup, should only generate “finished” activity. It should not generate pages read, episodes watched, or time-related activity.

I think this was fixed at some point, unless there’s another update way that generates all the noise activity?
I put it straight to finished for this book and this season of anime and only this was in the activity:
Giving it 7 days in case there’s another way to set it as Finished that generates all the activity.
