Both your links are to amazon – which natively item are you asking about?
(One common cause of page count confusion is that for famous short stories especially they’re often available at Aozora as the single story, and also on Amazon as a book of short stories which includes and uses the title of that short story. Plus sometimes there are manga versions of literary works which confuse matters even more…)
Thanks. The page count and cover are from the Amazon data for the paperback version of the book, and the page count is indeed because the paperback book includes multiple short stories by the author, not just the title story.
The publisher seems to have done a set of these “classic literature with manga art style covers”, presumably in an attempt to attract a wider and younger readership.
I’m not sure what Natively’s policy is on separating out “item for single short story” from “item for book containing that story and others”. It doesn’t help that Amazon’s data is also confused here – what it links as the “Kindle version” of the paperback book has just the single short story and is not an ebook version of the short story collection.
@brandon – do we usually split this kind of item up?
