Class-S (and Related) Reading Club - READING 少女たちの痕にくちづけを 1 | L21

Indeed it does! How’d you come across it?

Nothing interesting, I just saw someone posting about it on bluesky. I think a scanlation group picked it up so it fell on her radar. I haven’t checked out the chapter myself, but when I saw the mentions of class S in the description I ran here immediately

Cool! I added it to the site: 拝啓、在りし日に咲く花たちへ 1 MFC | L24??

I read through the first chapter. The art style is nice - very soft. I’m not sure how I feel about it just yet/I wonder what exactly it’s intending to do. But definitely something I’m interested to keep reading.

Anyway very much appreciate you sharing it here

I want to nominate ストロベリー・パニック! light novel vol 1 for next round :slightly_smiling_face:

I guess it was inevitable someone would nominate it eventually :stuck_out_tongue: (I felt rather aggravated by the anime, but have been told the novels are better)

I’ve added it to the post, so it will be in for next round

I remember you disliking the anime. I’m watching it with a friend (so, with english subs) and I am enjoying it. I probably would enjoy it less alone, it certainly is a bit ridiculous at times. Still I think it’s charming, and wanted to see the source material.

Glad you’re enjoying it at least. I don’t plan to vote for it, but I’ll read it if it gets picked - since I am curious in a historical/informed opinion sense.

I finished 拝啓、在りし日に咲く花たちへ 1 MFC | L26 and think it’s off to a really good start, with some room to grow. My main long-term hopes for it are that it won’t eventually turn into just another run-of-the-mill yuri relationship, but will instead stay an S relationship, and I hope it will go on for a long while. The main character is a first year in high school, so the latter seems slightly more likely, and the former is probably just setting myself up for disappointment, particularly since I’m not convinced the story has the scaffolding for that. There was an interesting twist already (the お姉さま is in fact a year younger than the MC). I did find myself looking up more than I expected, which is encouraging.

Anyway I’m really enjoying it. Thx so much for telling me about it!
