Feedback dialog boxes close without confirmation if you click outside them, losing your text

The dialog box that pops up for the “Something not right? Let us know” feedback button will automatically close if you click anywhere outside the dialog box, and when it does so it discards any text you’ve written in the box without asking for confirmation.

This is pretty easy to do when you’re using an onscreen keyboard on mobile, if you accidentally tap slightly above the keyboard in the content area when you meant to tap on the keyboard. It’s pretty frustrating when that throws away a comment you just spent a few minutes typing out.

Can the dialog be made to ask for confirmation before discarding text, if you’ve written anything in it?

I usually implement (these kinds of) dialogs so that clicking outside is completely ignored. That way you can only close the dialog via OK and Cancel (and maybe a small X or something). This gives much better user guidance.
