It recently came to my attention that not only amazon, but buying from Rakuten through links in natively also gives a percentage to the site and I thought it’s too bad I didn’t know before this since I did use Rakuten kobo from time to time.
Hence I thought about whether or not people know which sites help natively out if we use them, and more specifically thought about the fact that people who are not active in the forums probably don’t even know about the amazon thing, let alone Rakuten.
Maybe you can add a small message about it where the patreon and ko-fi links are? or have a symbol over at the info pages (like with the F for free and all that)
After 3 years of using Natively, and thousands of euros used to CDJapan, I only just found out that Natively has an affiliate program with them, and Natively could have benefitted from my purchases too. I never used the Natively links to buy the books, since I didn’t realize it would make any difference. It is, after all, slightly more inconvenient to use the Natively links than it is to just navigate the website. It benefitting Natively definitely makes that slight inconvenience worthwhile, though.
I’m sure there are many others like me, who are not using the links simply because they are not aware of the partnerships. So I suggest that a list of the partnerships that would bring some revenue to Natively is made, and it is included in a place, where it is easy to find. For example, pinned at the top of the forum.

With the current focus on making Natively financially sustainable, I think this request is a gimme. There will always be people who balk at subscriptions or donations for a digital service, but would still be happy to give Natively a bonus for purchases they’re making anyway, and it’s currently not clear that users can do that outside of the “we’re an Amazon affiliate” boilerplate in the footer.
I initially assumed that the “Natively Recommended” badges on book providers were the ones with affiliate programs, but if Rakuten doesn’t have one then I guess not?
