Home thread for SeaBed - informal Visual Novel Book Club

I’m reading this so slowly, one scene per day, and really enjoying it. Not stressing about finishing it as soon as possible at all.

I read a review that said that this VN is equal parts mystery, slice of life and yuri, and I think that’s true. So far it’s mostly slice of life with small hints of yuri and the mystery. Really enjoying it for what it is!

Cool! I read for like a few minutes just now, and got up to the restaurant. Might try to do a little each day as well, but not sure

Still slowly reading this VN. It’s going to be a long long read, but that’s OK. I’m not in a rush.

I love how they use music and sound effects in this VN. Upbeat and happy music and then suddenly nothing, making the emptiness feel even more empty.

16 hours of playtime, and still not done with the prologue. This will take a long time!

I’m reading it slowly though, checking the translation with Luna and JL, so it’s not supposed to take that long. Not sure how much “real” play time I have covered.

Really enjoying it though!

You know the feeling when you read a book and you can’t put it down, and when you do put it down you just want to get right back to it the next day? That’s SeaBed for me now. I don’t know what it is, but it just keeps pulling me in. My other reading is really suffering now, but I don’t care! Not much has happened yet, just mostly slice-of-life between adults in their 20s, but there’something about the mood and the music and the artwork that just keeps pulling me in.

Not done with the prologue yet, and almost 26 hours read. This will probably be at least 100 hours for me. According to VNDB it’s about 18 hours, so my reading is 4-5 times slower than native speakers. Sounds about right. I’m looking up a lot and just enjoying the process.

Congratulations on finding one of those “can’t put it down” things. It’s the best when that happens!

I’m not sure if/when I’ll pick it up again, but it’s nice seeing the updates. And I’m curious to hear if/how things pick up after the prologue

Finally done with the prologue and started chapter 1! It took almost 29 hours.

Really looking forward to starting the “real” story now, and finding out what really happened!
