I am fine but behind. 
Work is quite busy and the level of difficulty of this book is such that I need a bit more brain for it then my usual fare… I just need an hour or 2 of uninterrupted, concentrated reading and I’ll be right back with you guys. 
Yeah… I don’t think I have seen 否 used in modern books before but that’s probably more to do with my usual choice of reading material. 
Chapter 2 ends around minute 12 iirc, but there’s an extra scene around minute 5-7.

I have made it to chapter 5 now. 
Plot is finally beginning to plot.
This got pretty funny towards the end. 
The JoJo reference caught me of guard at first, but then I remembered that the guy also wrote a JoJo book so I guess it is to be expected.
WIth how fast they are going it feels like they are gonna crack the case in next weeks batch. Also I can’t believe she hasn’t done even the first steps of the investigation herself. Going to the place is obvious, but maybe hard for a kid, granted. But that she doesn’t even really remember what direction she was looking or has no idea about starsigns makes me wonder what she has actually has been doing these last 10 years.
But if they solve everything next time , what do we do for the rest of the book?
To be fair, she did say that she hasn’t done anything for the past 10 years (except looking up at night I guess).

Realistically I’d expect the resolution to somehow turn her into a hanger-on.
Considering it is a series and the detectives need to solve other cases to be detective-like (rule 3).
I made it. 
I guess in this story world the 5 second rule is more of a 5 minute rule. Imagine eating something that fell into sand… especially something that is not completely dry to begin with… I can practically feel/hear the sand crunching in my mouth… 
I just assumed he cleaned it with his special pretty boy skills.
Like @Kampffrosch, I assumed that he removed everything. He is just that good.

I technically read chapter 8 last week, but it’s really short anyway.
Not much to say this week.
There’s a bit of whiplash compared to week 2’s discussion of being always following her dreams. But yeah, it did feel more like doing something for the sake of doing something rather than actually trying to reach the stated goal (of becoming an astronaut, right? What is even the connection?)
Plus, she was only watching stars at night when the sky is clear. That’s plenty of time left to, I dunno, learn violin or something (or do some physical training? I don’t know what the requirements are)
Chapter 11: Okay, that took a weird turn. We are almost halfway through the book and I have no idea what is going on 
Yeah, at first I thought this was just a dream sequence.
Now my hypothesis is that her eyes are actually special in some way. (possibly supernatural?)
Well I guess we will see next week.
Week 5. We are past the 50% mark! If you’ve made it so far, I guess it’s all downhill from here on. Plus things are happening?

Also, I read the content before posting the message above, so I am done already It felt really short too.
It was fun to get a direct reference to 江戸川乱歩. I mean, the title is an obvious one, but here we get an actual mention of the whole 少年探偵団 thing.
I found the writing style of chapter 14 interesting, only showing one side and not closing the speech sections. I wonder if that exposition style is also a reference? I did read 怪人二十面相 | L32, but I don’t remember something like that.
Other than that, well, the plot is going wilder and wilder.
I mean, that would explain some things. I guess it was suspicious that she forgot her glasses, but said it’s not a big deal… For a second, I thought that meant that her eyesight is just not that bad, but it could be that the glasses are instead limiters (for whatever reason).
Week 6. I have read it ahead of posting this and boy is this book taking me off guard every time.

I need to get my mind out of the gutter and remember they are 14 and probably 13 respectively.
Ah, never mind, next sentence explains that it’s very much literal. Well then.

And then… gender bending! Let’s go! ベストカップル indeed(?). Breaking the fourth wall by mentioning that it’s uncommon to have gender swaps in the first volume of a series is a bit strange, though.
Also, it’s probably not the first time Manabu crossdressed? I kinda want to say “egg”, especially considering his otherwise emphasis on 少年であること or whatever.
In other news, I am starting to get slightly nervous about the lack of participation

Hi, sorry I was finishing another book yesterday and then fell asleep reading last weeks part 
Probably shouldn’t have put it off until the last minute.
She said earlier that she only uses glasses to hide her eyes. Because they are so beautiful and she is embarrassed about that.
At first I was wondering if my copy was broken and I was missing words here and there.
I sure hope the hidden nuclear explosion angle is not what really happened
I feel like there are too many ways this wouldn’t work. Not sure which year this plays and what technology was like then, but like there are other satellites with cameras looking all around. They’d see an explosion that the naked eye could see on earth for sure. Then the EMP effect would also show up somewhere.
Also a military satellite might have self-propelled weaponry which can explode just fine without atmosphere, so I dunno why that extra bit was necessary.
And to shoot down a satellite all it needs is shrapnel (Kessler effect comes to mind).
That knowledge of the incident puts her in danger also sounds far fetched. Like wouldn’t the pretty boys also be in it now, now that they know? The strategic move would be to spread the knowledge far and wide so that eliminating her makes no difference.

I’ll read this weeks part today. I like aligning sundays and mondays like this so I can read bigger stretches before switching to another book again.
Yeah. I found the theory of her being tailed all her life extremely unlikely though. How would they even know about her? Much more likely the investigation stirred up the nest. The expenses of tailing somebody on the off chance that they maybe spotted something when they were 4 years old for the rest of their lives, lol.
Her bewildered monolog while cross dressing was pretty damn funny.
The story about cinderella had me research the version I watched as a kid. Three Wishes for Cinderella (1973 film) - Wikipedia And indeed there was no glass slipper there. Also always thought that cinderella was a weirdly noble sounding name for Aschenbrödel, but I just noticed that it comes from cinder … I may be stupid.

I don’t know about beautiful. That’s just the comment from 団長, and she hated it, making me think there’s something with her eyes (heterochromia?), but I don’t think she ever expanded on it. That being said, I thought she did need the glasses, they just were also convenient to hide that.
Honestly, that was so out of left field that I didn’t even try to think about the issues with that theory. I agree that shrapnel would be a much better (AND SAFER) way to deal with a satellite.
Plus, if they had done that, wouldn’t they know about her checking the sky every night (except if cloudy, I guess)? It seems she has talked about the star with a bunch of people until somewhat recently too, so I feel like they would have just disappeared her or something? Plus, if she noticed them today, wouldn’t she have noticed beforehand?
Anyway, I’m just on for the ride, now. It’s been like 50 pages that I have unplugged my brain 
Actually thought about it more this morning. Everything would make sense if they are just straight up gaslighting her. All the information comes from the pretty boys, even only the 2 smart ones. They also have the means to arrange for a couple people to show up and pretend to try to kidnap her. This would also explain why she is soooo mad in the prologue.
