Notes

  • Videos should include spoken Korean and/or Korean subtitles
  • The :abc: icon is only for real subs, it doesnโ€™t include auto-generated subtitles
  • Availability may vary by region. For example, KBS World TV uploads full drama episodes to their channel, but they canโ€™t be viewed in Korean or the US
  • Iโ€™ve tried to keep channel titles in alphabetical order, with the exception of ํ•œ๊ธ€ titles 'cause I donโ€™t know my ๊ฐ€๋‚˜๋‹คโ€™s :woman_shrugging:
  • General Kpop channels are okay, but channels for specific groups are only really of interest to fans and are easy to find

This is now a wiki, feel free to add your recommendations directly to the list above.

Donโ€™t ask me why (I donโ€™t know) but for awhile I was watching Korean hair stylist videos with Japanese subtitles. They also have Korean hard subs, but since I canโ€™t read Korean, I can ignore them

There were a handful of channels like this but Iโ€™m having trouble surfacing them in my watched history :frowning:

I just watched a few videos, theyโ€™re really interesting. Thanks for the recommendation, Iโ€™ll add it to the list! :slightly_smiling_face:

Just discovered a Korean booktuber whoโ€™s vids look really good, and most of the recent ones include Korean subtitles!

I like her fashion sense, too.

Youtube is sharing Korean videos (subbed in Japanese :joy:) to me again, so I will share the bounty:

A (very handsome) trans guy talking about his top surgery experience. Channel seems to have a lot of vlogs and such.

I really like ๊ทœ์ง„ for her travel vlogs. The subtitles are mostly there, the only con being that theyโ€™re in the video so you canโ€™t import them to read them later.

Hereโ€™s the link to the first vlog of a series of her vlogs from this summer, ๊ทœ์ง„ in Paris!

Lately Iโ€™ve been enjoying ์˜๋ฒ ๋ฆฌ. She does camping videos with built in Korean subtitles.

Found this absolute godsend of a channel for me. I took a 2 or 3 month summer break from Korean because I just couldnโ€™t get consistent with listening or reading and Iโ€™ve been able to put in about an hour a day thanks to this channel.

Yeah thatโ€™s a good channel if you like games! A lot of great descriptive vocabulary. Itโ€™s quite slow though

Iโ€™ve been enjoying these comedic shorts recently. Iโ€™d say itโ€™s intermediate level? Super fun xD

Amazing channel, thank you for the rec!! I watched the florence series, and it was very enjoyable. the language level matches mine quite well, i think i was at a comfortable 90% understanding.
Iโ€™ll definitely be watching more of his videos.

Another hit, the grammar and vocab are more advanced than ํƒœ์›…์Œค, and it is obviously not geared towards korean learners, but the slow pace allowed enough time to read the subtitles and get the gist of it.

Itโ€™s very rewarding to be able to watch content fully in korean, even at my pre-intermediate (?) level. Really helps to keep the motivation up.
This thread is a gem :face_holding_back_tears:

I like them too, you can understand the general idea without understanding the language most of the time.

Put it on 1.5x or 2x. :smiling_imp: I started doing 1.25x for the videos Iโ€™ve previously watched.

Hereโ€™s another channel Iโ€™ve been listening to. Way above my level but great for A2+ level people I imagine.

Iโ€™ve been watching this channel ๊น€๋…ธ์•„ a lot lately, itโ€™s hilarious. Now, while itโ€™s technically not made for language learners, Iโ€™d say itโ€™s pretty nice CI still, because itโ€™s gaming and therefore has a visual to follow and the youtuber tends to repeat himself a lot.

He generally plays a lot of frustrating games, which is extremely funny to watch. His longer videos (from lives) I find easier to understand than the short videos he makes from the lives, as the pace is slower.
