I had your exact assessments of this when I watched it. I didn’t find it all that entertaining, and it felt a lot harder than it was graded. I’m surprised that it’s maintained its red grade because it’s been more than a year since I watched it. fwiw, I dumped it after about 4 episodes.

I actually liked the series very much, watched both seasons not just once, though probably more than five years ago. The MC is a failing character who comes to conquer and ends up to serve in a restaurant and live at the house of its owner. Then she slowly becomes friends with the other leads.
Sometimes she has a fit like, hey what am I doing here, after she rescued a kid from drowning or so, I came to rule not to help these humans, but in the end her good-naturedness will surely win.
But I doubt I will ever eat spaghetti with squid ink sauce after I saw “how it is made“
