What are new and popular light novel series now in japan. Aside from having a huge backlog of series that have +20 volumes I would like to read something that is releasing now.
something that became a hit in 2024-2026 and has only a couple of volumes.
It’s pretty simple to see what’s popular in Japan right now, you can just browse the popular rankings on Bookwalker or Bookmeter. Here’s the Bookwalker rankings for this week (you can choose daily, weekly, or monthly ranking). Just choose a series that looks good and check how many volumes it has. I see a few on there that only have 2-3 volumes.
I think このライトノベルがすごい! also has a new releases category, though for some reason, wiki doesn’t list them…
