As a part of my new roadmap and plans, (see here) I’ll be updating you all on progress after my two day sprints every Tuesday & Wednesday.
Initial thoughts & progress:
- first, this new schedule is super invigorating! Dedicating full days to certain projects really helps me get excited about the days work. It also adds a bit of urgency (won’t touch for another week!)
- implemented an automated tv season / tv episode deleter when tv seasons / episodes are deleted on TMDB, with a lot of automated testing. Implemented first version of automated syncher which reduced some data requests I get. FYI the complication here is not deleting any of your user data if it’s deemed super essential (in progress seasons / gradings / written reviews).
- investigated why Spanish books weren’t adding and determined a potential solution to implement.
- [Infrastructure/Dev] Got a lot more typing around the TMDB API as I’ll be working here a bit more. Also did some quality of life things.
Next Week
- Mostly focused on getting Spanish book additions working again
- Potentially get more automated updaters working for my data requests
PS: I’ll still be poking around on off days, but Tuesday/Wednesday are my full dev days
