Great to hear all the news!

Very cool, but how do we find this board in general/when we’re not looking at this specific post?

If you search books for 講談社文庫 you get over 90 hits, most of which are because the book data has included the publisher name and shelving info in the title field, e.g. like “(講談社文庫 さ 7-11)”.

(1) Could the “create new item” flow from Amazon have a filter for the common versions of these to either auto clean it up or (if that seems too risky) flag it for the librarians to check?

(2) Could we find and fix the existing cases without somebody having to manually flag them all?

(3) Why do some books turn up in this search despite not having the publisher name in the title, e.g. 風の中のマリア | L30?? ? For that one I’m pretty sure it was manually cleaned up in the past, so I have a hypothesis that the title gets indexed for the search but then the index doesn’t get updated after a title edit, so it still matches on words that were once in the title but aren’t any longer.

Thanks! Unfortunately I only occasionally use desktop, and it’s not visible when I look on mobile, but nbd.

hmmm, … just tried to grade some french items and was given a problem with our servers message. tried on the spanish side and no error message.

Found the issue! Apparently one of your ‘stopped’ items had no specified ‘subs’ / ‘no subs’ data which we should’ve required when you created the item. Fixed the form and set the data to ‘no subs’ as it seems you always specify no subs

Give it another go!

OK! We’re BACK! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks for bearing with us everyone!

Edit:

Technical Details

Our analytics server (the server which collects logs & health metrics for all of our infrastructure) had a crashed receiver.. so all the other servers couldn’t send their logs & health metrics. The logging system on those servers saved all the logs they couldn’t send and kept retrying. Eventually, on our small servers (the webs), this caused a memory issue, bringing our web servers to a crawl.

Numerous ways i can prevent this in the future and will do!

Did Natively just go down? I’m seeing this "We’ll be back soon!

We’re making some maintenance improvements. Maybe you have time to read one more chapter…"

Neat message though

Why do I have no activity for videos? I’ve marked episodes as watched and even set the specific days that I watched them, so this doesn’t really make any sense.

I’m seeing activities for you? Are you perhaps looking in a different language?

Oh, it’s the videos filter on the new dashboard. I’ll post there for that.

Related question, why do I have nothing marked off on my calendar? I think that’s what I meant to ask the first time. This is broken on the old and new views.
