I’m actually addressing this right now in - Improve Language Settings and 'Native' handling

Basically ‘Primary’ is the language that you’re focusing right now - your default language. That impacts a variety of things:

  • which language by default we show on your dashboard
  • which language we show visitors to your profile if no language is specified

I’ll be improving the UI to make this more clear.
