Just bumping this as a new release in a series I began reading with (flying witch) is due out and I would like to track my reread of the series in preparation
Bumping again since I’m re-reading Bocchi. I remember Goodreads UX for rereading was god awful, so I appreciate that it takes time to design a good version, but would like to know if this is on the soon-to-be cards or it’s still further afield.
I would like to know as well.
Re-reading is one of my study processes both for textbooks and for novels I’ve read and atm with me trying to keep tabs on progress, I have been adding notes for dates of the original read through as well as any subsequent read through but it’s a bit of a pain to mark all of that down in the notes each time and then mark the book as reading and reset the page number etc.
Would be nice to be able to do it quicker and with more accuracy
Is this still not supported or did I miss how to do it? Any workarounds to at least keep my stats somewhat correct? Maybe I can log pages/hours manually or something?
Wild idea: you could double the page number of the book, but this doesn’t work for watching.
Nope, unfortunately it hasn’t been implemented yet. I’ve been keeping track of my re-reads/re-watches by adding a note to the work in question, but that doesn’t get factored into my actual Natively stats, so it’s not ideal.
Not implemented unfortunately. I happened to used Book Meter before Natively even existed, so I still log all my reads there, including rereads. Not a great workaround though and it’s annoying that I can’t track them in Natively and have it count towards my stats.
Thanks for all the fast replies!
Thanks for the idea, I tested it and it actually worked I’m only rewatching right now, but I’ll keep it in mind for rereading.
I was thinking of just adding anime I have zero interest in watching, but have around the right level. And just replacing them, when rewatching is added, someday.
Thanks again
BTW: I give five stars (only) to re-watched TV-series, as obviously I like them very much.
Honestly I might have to start doing that just for rereads… gotta get that dopamine boost lol
I don’t d suppose there’s a way to import data there? Cuz if so I might just track everything on both
I just like to know how many manga I’ve read each year for comparison and I can’t get that from Natively.
Honestly I have no idea. I also track everything on both out of habit and to have a backup of my data.
I found an answer:
I don’t think I like the UI very much tho, but Bookmeter is working for me. So indeed I think I’ll start using it, and just not care about my past reads. Will be good incentive to read more JP reviews (if I’m gonna waste time online, I may as well do it in Japanese!)
