It would be nice to see items that have recently been assigned an official level (i.e. when the question marks in the level have disappeared). This could be in the activity feed, a field to sort by on the browse page, both, or somewhere else.
The advantage for the activity feed is it makes the full grading process more visible from the homepage, and would make it more visible and satisfying when one of your gradings results in an item being graded. You could even have the activity show up on the personal activity feed of the user who triggered it. A possible downside would be if it is not information that the majority of users are interested in and it clogs up the feed, but I personally would find it to be one of the more interesting things in that feed.
The advantage for putting it on the browse page is that you could apply additional filters and find, for example, the books that were most recently assigned the level that you are reading at right now. The possible downside is that it would look pretty similar to “recently added” (but not completely).
