I got it into my head that I want to read 幼女戦記 within the next year, but I’d like to do it in a way that doesn’t result in me regretting my life choices 
So, in an attempt to avoid having to add 1000 words to Anki within the first volume, I’d like to build up to it by reading progressively more difficult books with similar (e.g. military, war, political) vocabulary. I’d be thankful for any recommendations for books that might have some overlap with 幼女戦記 in terms of vocabulary and have audiobooks (since I prefer reading along with the audiobook). The easier the better.
