This chapter made me really happy but in a way that feels uncomfortable bc I’m like.. what terrible thing is going to happen now. I was legitimately surprised that Kokoro’s mom stood up to the regular school teacher about the other girl. I feel like that wouldn’t have happened at the beginning of the story. I was also happy to see her leave the house, and it was sweet when she was looking in the crowd for the other kids, even though she knew they were very unlikely to be there. And now I’m so curious what’s going to happen on January 10th!
Finishing the chapter on Christmas Eve is also kinda a neat coincidence.
