This was another chapter where I didn’t particularly care about what happens to the characters. I also was not impressed by the mystery. Really unfortunate because this was the longest chapter by far :see_no_evil:

I’ll finish the rest of the book today, since there are only 15k characters left. So you don’t have to create a bunch of new threads just on my account.

I’ll set them up in case future readers would like to leave comments, but given I think you’ve been the only active reader for a good long while now, I’m thinking I might go ahead and post them all at once and start looking at voting for the next book early.

Some things went as expected, some didn’t. Overall I enjoyed the chapter, even though there were some bits I didn’t really like. It was pretty obvious that those two were behind it, but the motive surprised me. I guess I was hoping that there would be more to it than “this is a horrible person”. I get wanting to live, but would most people really go that far? I’d like to keep my heart inside my body, thank you very much.
Interesting interpretation of the werewolf myth, the whole needing blood thing wasn’t something I had encountered before. That feels more like a vampire to me.
