I have to say, this book was a challenge for me. The vocabulary level was quite high, and I had to constantly look up words (thank goodness for jpdb.io! ). It was a struggle to get through at times, and I had to be patient with myself.
Honestly, I didnβt find the main character very likable at first. His hikikomori lifestyle was hard to relate to, and it took some effort to get used to his way of thinking. However, once I got past my initial reluctance, I found his inner monologues to be quite interesting.
I was a bit disappointed that Misakiβs story didnβt appear until later in the book. I wanted to see more of her character development!
One interesting aspect of the book was seeing the old computer technology mentioned, such as CD-ROMs. It was a nostalgic trip back to the early 2000s!
Overall, reading this book required a lot of time and effort from me, mainly due to my limited vocabulary. Iβm glad I pushed through, but now I think I need a break .
