Discussion ground rules

  • Any spoilers, for the current chapters must be behind spoilers or detail curtains. When we get further in you don’t need to hide details that were revealed in previous chapters.
  • Always mention where you are in the book when discussing, ideally by chapter so people reading different versions have a clear point of reference.
  • Feel free to read ahead if it’s exciting! But please refrain from spoiling ahead of the appropriate week
  • If you have a question about grammar, vocab, cultural things, etc - ask! That can be part of the discussion too and I’m sure some folks would be happy to help.
  • Even if you don’t read the chapter(s) in time, you are still encouraged to post in the thread for that reading once you have finished it. I advise not reading ahead in the threads as you may see spoilers.
Are you joining us for Week 16?
  • I’m reading along
  • I’m reading along, but at my own pace
  • I’m just following the discussion

I made a poll in the main thread, but basically I was thinking it might be nice to move the pace up to 2 chapters per week for these last weeks. If that would make it prohibitive for anyone, just lmk and we’ll leave it as is.

Ch 16

I enjoyed the narrative style of two different sets of people telling the same story and how the manga intertwined them. It was interesting and refreshing.

I kinda expected it - Nekozaki killing her father was not as serious (or literal) as it seemed in the first place. I had also suspected that Nekozaki was just feeling scared when she reacted to Mikoto’s confession the way she did.

Loved the two-page spread in this chapter!

Chapter 16

The whole murder and surveillance sub-plot is kind of stupid.

感想

The whole murder thing and what it turned out to actually be was so stupid. Really wish the author had done something better there. The dual dialogue thing was cool at least
