Questions from this week’s reading:
What kind of world does Madoka imagine in her mind at the start of chapter 3?

Discussion Guidelines

 • Please blur/hide any major events in the current week’s pages (however early they occur), like so: text here (that’s
text here
).
 • If you have a question about grammar, vocab, the story, cultural things or literally anything else related to the book — ask! There is really no need to be hesitant. If it’s something you are wondering about, chances are someone else will be thankful you asked first, lots of people enjoy answering questions, you learn something new, and the thread gets more lively. It’s a win-win on all fronts!

I was curious about Reki saying 「まるちゃんは、破天荒さでいうと伊達政宗タイプだね。政宗くん、よく茶碗ぶち割ってたな〜」So, I looked it up and thought I’d post here too incase anybody else was wondering :slightly_smiling_face:
Apparently, there is a famous anecdote about Date Masamune nearly dropping an expensive bowl. Masamune narrowly managed to catch it, only to deliberately smash it ground moments later. When asked by a baffled retainer why he broke the bowl after catching it, Masamune replied, 「高価な茶碗を落としそうになって焦り驚いた、自分自身の心小ささに腹が立ったから割ったのだ」 He proudly breaks his expensive bowls like Madoka passionately thows away her textbooks!

I’m catching up!

Chapter 3

Omg, the part when she’s in her magical fantasy world and the forest creatures are like well we would love to eat this delicious プリン but first  we need madoka chan to divide it into six equal parts by gram :heavy_division_sign: :joy: I missed this detail when I listened to the audiobook, it’s really funny. No escaping math!!
