Any spoilers, for the current chapters must be behind spoilers or detail curtains. When we get further in you don’t need to hide details that were revealed in previous chapters.
Always mention where you are in the book when discussing, ideally by chapter so people reading different versions have a clear point of reference.
Feel free to read ahead if it’s exciting! But please refrain from spoiling ahead of the appropriate week
If you have a question about grammar, vocab, cultural things, etc - ask! That can be part of the discussion too and I’m sure some folks would be happy to help.
Even if you don’t read the chapter(s) in time, you are still encouraged to post in the thread for that reading once you have finished it. I advise not reading ahead in the threads as you may see spoilers.
I was just amazed by the taught that someone has to draw a somewhat detailed picture, just to have it hang a as a calendar in the background. I had a similar thought with the rice cooker. It’s not really necessary. And I’m sure there were super and more fun things to draw. Not saying this manga is special in this regard, just appreciating manga (especially iyashikei) in general.
This makes it sound like Mafuyu lives in the same neighborhood as Koharu, which is not the case (they used past tense before when they talked about her living in the same neighborhood and later they take different lines home). Maybe Koharu is speaking about the larger area now. I initially thought Koharu meant “if you came“ (来てくれたら instead of 来てくれたから).
Yes, I did see that. I still think it’s a nice coincidence (??) though! It makes me miss reading manga on paper. Kindle is more convenient, but there’s something about having a paper book in your hand that a Kindle can never replicate!
Especially comparing to Kindle, paper is much nicer. Digital scan quality can be very variable too (especially if we’re talking about Amazon). Not to mention the smaller screen size (which applies even on larger tablets) vs actual manga size.
It’s hard to beat Kindle for LNs tho or other text-books tho!
