I’m running behind but I hope to catch up this week…

Found these chapters on the easier side. Very easy to follow and I don’t think I’ve missed much this time.

Quick thoughts on this week.

Found it nice that Mia was not willing to try to use money to influence the bento orders for the competition in order to not ruin Rafina’s friendship that just started. Refreshing it was not for just avoiding the guillotine.

Details of the bento arrangement/booking that weren’t in the anime. She booked way in advance and had no problems when in the previous life she had no plans and just tried to get Shion to eat with her without prior notice, just to eat alone. And now on the second run, she forgot the painful memory and missed the order deadline altogether.

Anne saves it again, even if a bit unreliable by gathering ingredients, which seemed already a struggle to find?.

Week 8

This week’s chapters were easier, yay!

Mia: why am I so worried about what Abel will think? Must be because if he hates me, he wouldn’t send reinforcements when I ask for them in the future!

Narrator: Mia didn’t notice that because of a “little thing like that” (それだけの理由 implies the reason is not important) she wouldn’t feel like this.

Oh, sorry? Fear of not getting help in a situation which leads to your death is nothing compared to the fear of being disliked by the boy you like?

I love the tsukkomi our narrator gives us, but this one shows that even the author is not taking her death/execution plot seriously.

New character appears. Chloe is cute though the way we went from “there is a girl in the class” to “and in 10 years she’ll open a publishing company and print Anne’s sister’s book” was a bit too fast for me.

That’s all of us here in the book clubs here!

The setting is: club participation is not obligatory and nobles follow their own schedules and don’t come every day
Immediately before: today is a club day
Immediately after: there is only this one (1) horse

Abel is starting to look a bit cool as he’s gaining new skills! Good for him

So. Bento.
Kudos to Anne for checking that the issue is with the workforce and not with the ingredients.

Not kudos for no-one saying "oh, wait, if everyone is making a non-perishable bento can’t we get one now and hold it until then?

I love how no-one knows how to cook. Even people that think they can.
Anne should, considering she’s an older sister in a big family, but ok. Maid is not a cook!
