Quick reading update: having finished 暗殺の年輪 | L40 I am determinedly not pulling a new book off my TBR pile because I anticipate some new book club reads starting in the not too distant future. In the meantime I ought to be reading 傲慢と善良 | L32 but am finding this week’s section uninteresting so am kind of having to force myself to read it in small chunks. Instead I read ahead a bit in front of the club schedule on 痴人の愛 | L43. Contemplating trying to get going again with 理由 | L30?? which I stalled out on a hundred pages in – I could use that one for the “award winner” bingo square.

Started reading during the trip during downtimes of transportation.
Love how ridiculous the art gets sometimes.

I’ll probably resume my 異世界のんびり農家 as I have 13 volumes to go and it will take a while .

Also at some point I should resume the 本好きの下剋上 audiobooks.

I’ve begun きょうのにゃこ譚 ゆるっと(1) | L24?? which is the sequel series to きょうのにゃこ譚 (series) | L16?? and it already might be even better than the first in terms of sheer cuteness. This one introduces a duckling to the mix and it’s very adorable.

I never thought of that side effect of bingo, but it would be a fun(?) extra challenge to try and foil other players’ plans like that

I should be equally worrying that someone will read 砂の女 | L45 (learnnatively.com) before I finish it, and then grade it lower than its current 45, crushing my hopes of using it for the higher Natively level box.

Or I could just say that the condition (higher level, or no review, or whatever) was true at the time I started it, and that’s good enough.
Actually it’s very likely I’ll lower its level myself when I get to grading it anyway

It wasn’t a review and I didn’t play any bingo game, but I felt very accomplished that I’ll be the first to mark 空っぽの少女と虹のかけら 1 | L23 as finished, which I also added myself a few months before… and then when I opened the page to log that I finished it, I saw " ( 1 finished )" and that it was freshly graded.

Also re: book sniping - technically @Biblio sniped being the first reviewer of freezer husband from me reading the whole thing in two days (!) but I’ve added so many unreviewed books to this site I’m not really worried about that square…

I also tried to read some ログ・ホライズン 1 異世界のはじまり | L33 and I’m really not into it so far I picked it randomly because I saw it praised on the forum, but it’s just another “got pulled into an MMO game” type so far. I’ll keep going a bit more (up to page 100) but except if something drastic happens, I’ll probably just drop it.

It becomes sooooo much more than that, but the things that make the series really special and unique start developing in book 2. Things do start getting more active in the second half of book 1, and the events of book 1 are directly connected to the developments in book 2.

(btw you’ve inspired me to pick it up and give it a go again, since I’m procrastinating my other LNs rn anyway Nevermind that a week ago I was overwhelmed bc I couldn’t decide between books… ADHD calls, I answer … I at least dropped a different LN (弱キャラ友崎くん) to make space for LH now)

Seems better so far, I was just getting choice paralyzed (in part from some ongoing things I can’t finish soon), so I’m trying to keep the number of LNs down.

I will likely pick it up again once I finish or drop 本好きの下剋上… Tho season 2 of the anime so far has me kind of turned off
