I watched a video review of a book adapted from a web novel which is supposed to be a great horror book (grain of salt as always, because Japanese “great horror” and Western “great horror” can differ in expectations) but anyways, I found the online version if anyone is interested: 近畿地方のある場所について（背筋） - カクヨム

I liked the character design and the story surprised me for the better, will love to try at a later time to read either the web novel or the published version

It just started updating again, so I’ve been reading the latest chapters + started rereading book 1. I would have gone with the web novel instead, but I recently bought the first 3 physicals, and it helps me reach my “I must read everything I buy rule”. If I get through book 3, I’ll switch to the web version then, I guess.

You mean if we get to it in the club? I would do the web novel in that case, since I’ve never read the web novel versions (except for parts of book 6, and the new chapters)

If by some crazy chance the LN club gets to it this round, I’ll still probably read the web novel, since I’ll know the book already

I am currently reading into the web version https://ncode.syosetu.com/n4185ci/ of くまクマ熊ベアー | L22 which at the moment is about half published in book form. The web version is still ongoing.
