Reason(s) for nominating: I really enjoyed this one when it came out. The characters are older, and the story felt realistic. I like the character portrayals - they are humans with flaws and strong points, who sometimes make bad choices, but ultimately are just searching for happiness. While it might not be for everyone, I think it’s a really beautifully written story.

I’m bothering with polls again, one that I promised to address VNs as a possibility, the other has to do with a pattern that I’ve noticed happening in the last 2 cycles. I want to try limiting the amount of nominations removed since I noticed that we keep having a huge amount of ties, the idea is that if for example we limit it to 8 nominations removed and there are 4 nominations with 2 votes and 5 nominations with 3 votes, only the 4 with 2 votes will be removed.
If you have any other ideas or think we shouldn’t be addressing this at all let me know

- Nominations that are not chosen will automatically be placed in the nominations of the next round, with the exception of:
(1) Nominations that don’t get any votes
(2) The 3 least voted nominations
(3) Tied nominations will all be removed
(4) Removed nominations will have a cooling period of 1 cycle (see list )
I have to admit I haven’t really paid much attention to the rule of tied nominations, but does this also mean that if 2 or 3 nominations tie for the second position, they are both removed? If yes, this rule doesn’t really make sense for me. I would personally only remove the 2 or 3 least voted nominations of each poll.

I would also recommend not removing anything if there are less than x works remaining. (I forget whether that’s already policy or not)

I’ll be honest and say that as of now I wasn’t planning to change anything about the tied rule
Whether or not it makes sense is objective which is why I don’t intend on changing it unless there’s an amount of people saying “we want a revote on this rule” or something like that
It doesn’t address the issue unfortunately
The problem arrises from a bunch of things being tied and hence creating a jump from close to 20 nominations to 5 nominations
What’s the idea behind removing tied nominations? I can’t think of any reason why one would want to do that.
