I’ll admit I didn’t check the original submission, but seeing as “set in the past” and “set in the future” were also nominated, I took it as a mix of both. A book that isn’t set in the early 21st century, basically.
The future goes, the 1980s goes, the Middle Ages are a-okay… At least that’s the definition I plan on using.

After much deliberation, I think I’ll be going with this multi language bingo! With three languages I’m actively learning (Korean, Japanese and Italian), one I’m maintaining (Spanish), and then French and English to fill some spaces and give me more motivation to get through certain books. I’ve changed quite a few prompts, but I’ve decided to go with something where most of the prompts aren’t too specific, so that I won’t have to go scouring for books that fit them. I’ve gone with 26 korean prompts for 2026, and then with the rest, I split it with 7 for Spanish and 6 for Japanese and Italian. And of course, a free space, for any language that isn’t French or English.

at the moment this is very half way done…but really wanted to get this setup… prompts meh…not worrying about them this time around… (yeah cheating but it’s bingo…so as long as I read)
decided to make it quick and easy and randomized some letters and numbers so I have two cards one for LNs and one for Manga
This is way overly ambitious and blackout would be unlikely unless 2026 is the year my speed drastically improves (much much doubt)… who knows maybe F&B will somehow make that happen… 
Was going to make a 3rd card for doujins but meh…for now this is already a lot
Pretty sure the LN card blackout won’t happen (just to many characters/pages) … the Manga card is possible but will see what 2026 holds for completing these series… if I didn’t goof, it’s 50 vols of manga, which is doable but with all the LNs… maybe not…

First bingo update of 2026!
There are two books I’d started in 2025, 연어 | L30?? and 나 혼자만 레벨업 3, the webnovel of course. Lots of possibilities for where to put them since the board is empty, but I ended up going with no reviews/gradings for 연어 (which, I never thought reading about the life of salmons would be so interesting, yet here I am) and fantasy for Solo leveling. I’ve also finished my first French book of the year, Le village des sourds by Léonore Confino, and while I debated waiting for a larger book to put in this spot, it’s such a thought provoking book that I think it definitely deserves the spotlight here, being my only French book on the bingo board.

There are badges already availables, but they are all in Japanese (like the one I have). Maybe we should have an English version? Or language specific versions?

That was an exception. Since the year is shown in the badge description, it made no sense to have a different badge.
