Not gonna lie, that comment has been living rent free in my head for the past few days.
I have refrained from nominating stuff that I thought would be a bit much, especially since I have the hope that the club could attract a broad range of people, including straight guys. (Heck, one of the nominations is even a shonen manga)
At the same time, it seems to me that it’s always the same motley crew regulars around those parts, so maybe it’s fine to just go with what the in-group likes…

Also same (except the one nomination I ever made was 不能共 | L29 which turned out to be sooooo messed up after reading it - I’m glad we didn’t read it as a club.

I end up not joining for the most of the reads selected here since they aren’t my taste, but I enjoy watching everyone have fun reading. 
So please carry on. (I just wanted to chime in and say there is at least one lurker who wants to read crazy things).
I’m team soft and fluffy, but I think it’s fine to nominate anything you’re interested in, as long as it’s clear in the content warnings/description the type of story it is.
I think variety would attract more people than sticking to just “safe” titles anyway, and might encourage people to try something new.
