Do you rate/score books you read?

Nah, I did that too (it was a regular dictionary though)
One of my favorite games was to start with a random definition, then pick one word I didn’t know in there and read that entry, and try to keep the chain going for as long as possible.
It just kept getting harder over time too
I still remember one of my favorite starters was zijanthrope.
Edit: the correct spelling is zinjanthrope apparently.

I’m sure there’s still at least some kids out there who like to read dictionaries.

What does that mean exactly? I get science & Derridas when I try to look it up

It seems to be spelled zinjanthrope, and it’s a name for a type of humans who lived in eastern Africa (= zinj) a few million years ago.

Sounds like an appropriate starter for a dictionary hunt

As @nikoru said, it’s apparently spelled with an n, although the few hits found without make me think I didn’t completely hallucinate the wrong spelling. It’s been 30 years since I played with that dictionary, too…

It’s your own personal Berenstein vs Berenstain :joy:

I always rate & grade, I see it as part of finishing the book. And it’s fun!

I hope Prompt user to rate/review and grade after marking item as finished is implemented at some point, as it would be more convenient and encourage more people to do these steps.

I try to review everything I read in Korean since it still has a relatively small userbase, but for Japanese I tend to only review books if I have strong feelings about it or there are no other reviews.

Huh, I hadn’t thought of including them manually in reviews… I’ll have to do this next time!
