Finding Easy German Books

Naturally, Natively is one place to look for books, but the selections in German are still somewhat limited. Something that I’ve found that is helpful is Onleihe from the Goethe Institute. https://www.onleihe.de/
To find books at your level, choose the “Hamburger menu.” That’s the three horizontal bars. Choose “Deutsch als Fremdsprache.” From there, you can search for your CEFR level.
This website is an online lending library for ebooks, emagazines, etc. It’s free for those residing outside of Germany. For those living in Germany, you can access it through your local bricks-and-mortar library I think.

For some reason that keeps redirecting me to divibib.com which doesn’t have the option you mentioned in the menu. Can you post a link directly to the Deutsch als Fremdsprache option?

Here is something that looks like the described site: die Onleihe der Bibliotheken des Goethe-Instituts e.V.. Lextra - Deutsch als Fremdsprache, A2-B1 - Freude, Liebe, Angst

Yes. That’s the site that I meant. I expected that a direct link wouldn’t work, because I am logged in to my account. You can give this a try:

wow that’s amazing, thanks for sharing. I had no idea it was connected to the Goethe Institute. I have indeed accessed it from my library (I’m in Germany).

They really have a lot, it’s so generous to be free outside of Germany.
