Finishing up my なつき obligations first after vacation because it’s cute and fun to read.
Week 7: lmao, I forgot about this unnecessarily awkward butt scene. Sometimes I feel like we move beyond fan service into just “let’s torment Monzaemon” territory. ハート also gets what feels like an unusual amount of screen time; I guess the author really likes him.
(Reading week 8 a bit early): awww, Monzaemon has what’s basically his own little doll house. XD Super cute.
On page 149 (I think) the girls describe the dress as ハリ感のある生地; what does ハリ感 mean here?

Trying to catch up but (p 103 ish) maybe I should stop reading this is public huh.
But I am now back on track!
148 渡 being jealous of 門左衛門 is kind of a fun development.
I have no idea of the English terminology, but it’s the opposite of soft (rigid?)
150: it’s still weird to me that people are just okay with the main character doing magical things.
159: 会長 is absolutely correct here. なつき can refuse if he wants to (he doesn’t).
163: oh, she serves as boob drawing practice. Her design makes sense then, I guess.

Okay, this week (9) changed my view of the NNM and 渡. I am still confused as to why they are so okay with magic though…
Other than that, it is time for week 10! Starting volume 3. A bit more than usual this week.

@Naphthalene I’m caught up again! And even read week 11 as insurance! Weeks 9-11 are pretty darn good; imo the manga is basically on a constant incline.

Page 20 yes! The kissing works in both directions! It’s internally consistent!
Page 40 wait, 渡 didn’t know that it was 門左衛門’s other form? That’s a strange gap in his knowledge.
Page 44 楓 is club (? Shield guy) right? Different hair, but they look too similar. Personality seems different though. Edit: huh probably not, considering the end of the chapter.
Page 46 かっこいい indeed!
Pages 48-50ish We are back in the “no that’s very weird” territory
Page 57 弟ができたみたいでさ giving him a place to express himself is great, but maybe not trying to destroy his planet should be first? Just saying.
Onto week 11!
… oops, I read week 12 as well. It’s not my fault, the chapter title was hidden and I got distracted by なつき’s face.
Then, I guess I don’t have much to say about week 11/ chapter 12. If I had to say, I would say that my mind was not going for “roots” when I saw the thingy first.

Since I read this part last week: Not gonna lie, I was really surprised to hear that なつき had a date, but they were cute together. That being said, it turns out to be plot??
Ah, that being said, I wanted to say last week (ahead of time) p 114-ish: 伝わらないその分、猫屋敷さんと長く喋れる. With that smile? Now that was smooth.
Going quickly through the pages to check if I forgot anything, I guess p 132: actually, I don’t think being naked is comfortable, but you do you I guess.

Alright, based on that resounding silence, I have decided to have a single week for volume 4.
Next week (from tomorrow) will be the last week of volume 3, as planned, then one week later we (?) will have the entirety of volume 4 and finish the series.
The main reason I made it that way instead of stopping everything right this instant is to give at least two weeks to set up the next books (although it’s fine to start earlier if people want to).

Sounds good to me! I’ll be traveling soon, so I’ll finish up volume three Monday/Tuesday, then read through volume four next week. Thanks for hanging with me, Naphthalene!

I fell off after volume 2 sorry! I took a quiet March and just other things have been competing for my time. I might check out other volumes later, but not my top priority.

Well, that’s it, volume 4.
I am still in the middle of reading something else, but I will finish this series soon™.
It’s a bit early to give my final thoughts about it, but, despite some moments I was iffy about, I’ve had a great time reading this series!

Awesome to hear! It’s definitely one of those series I would recommend, but only to readers I know don’t mind handling a little bit of awkwardness. Gotta get on volume 4 this week myself; I just got back from vacation.
