I love the idea of this app but one I close a definition I can’t open another one without fully restarting the whole app.
Is this a known bug? Am I doing something wrong

Might have been a bug with the latest ios update.
I pushed a patch a while ago. Let me know if that fixes it for you.
Thanks for the suggestions. I agree there should be more customizability for the browser. I’ll add it to the backlog.
Been giving this app a go after getting frustrated with ttsu on Safari + 10ten on iPad.
First of all, great work. It’s much better. Having lookups happen at the tap of a pencil rather than highlighting things myself is a big speed up, even if the parsing isn’t quite infallible.
However, for some weird reason I’m now getting all the definitions twice:
I tried individually enabling and disabling all the built-in options, but only the JMdict one seems to make a difference.
What’s weird is that it’s not every word, just most of them…
Thanks for the report.
I’ve noticed this issue before but I didn’t really look into it.
I wrote up a patch in the code today and will include it in the next release.
Hi! I’m currently having an issue trying to download some frequency dictionaries on the app specifically the VN, Narou, and BCCWJ2 from this website Freq | Anacreon DJT . Everytime I try and upload them to the app they get stuck on the extracting dictionary at 50%. Any possible solutions?
Thanks for the heads up. It seems there was a mistake when handling floating values that the latest Flutter doesn’t appreciate.
I’ll include this fix in the next release.
Been using this app on iPad for a while for epubs and really enjoy it Two questions:
Have been using the App for years now and it’s still my absolutely favorite app for reading Japanese novels!
I have a small request for the stats if it’s not too troublesome: would it be possible to include the total reading time of a novel in the stats? Like, for example I read 43% of a book with a total time of 3 hours and 23 minutes or something like that? Or if that’s not possible, at least a total time once you reach 100%?
Since I often read in small pieces over a period of time (and often multiple books at once) it’s difficult to keep track how long you spent on a book in total.
In case it’s helpful, Natively does have this functionality. You just have to use the Progress Update (easiest from the dashboard) feature, and add in the time there. Or you can retroactively add it with Data Manager
Tap the clock icon, and then you get:
It will show on the book’s page, under the Stats section
Thanks, but to be honest, that’s quite annoying for me to log in to natively and track it manually. That’s why I’d love to just have it there in the stats.
