Just making yet another thread for something I asked about elsewhere so it’s all in the right place 
Description of your request or bug report:
The current system of using the general “Free” tag and having a blank link to the Web Novel in the “WHERE TO FIND” section (possibly with an added comment that changes from user to user) can be a bit misleading for people that are new to the concept of Web Novels. They might think these are identical versions.
- For novels that have a web novel version, change the “Free” tag to e.g. “Web Novel”, “WN”, …, instead
- Add some general disclaimer to Syosetu links that makes it clear that these are not identical versions (likely less polished and possibly deviating in terms of plot).
Further down the line it would also be nice to have separate entries for the web novel versions (especially for novels that deviated strongly from the web novel plot in the process of editing, like 転生したらスライムだった件 1 | L35 and 蜘蛛ですが、なにか? 1 | L32), since these might as well be separate works.
