This happened to me yesterday when filtering by genre/tag, specifically “4-koma”. After I refreshed the page it applied the filter properly.
It’s intermittent, and it’s usually a combination of status filters and custom tags. Sometimes it doesn’t filter when I just add a filter, and sometimes it’ll fail when I’ve added 2+ filters and try to remove one.
Edit: an example of it happening to me now:
I’m only trying to filter by one custom tag in this case.
Edit2: Another server error. I removed the custom tag and was just browsing through my library with no filter, status set to “All”, and tried to go to page two of my library. Hit with an error message.
I hit the back button to go back to page 1 (since the library pagination said I was on page 2, even though it was having issues showing books from that page); nothing changed, the server error message still showed, so I refreshed the page.
After I refreshed the page, my custom tag had been enabled again and the search results brought back my books filtered by that tag, even though it had already been de-selected prior to the refresh.
Removing the custom tag and trying to navigate to page 2 of my library (status set to All, no tags) then works correctly.
Browsed my library for a couple more pages with no issues, then went back to set a custom tag, and the filter failed.
Looks like custom tag names are no long auto-alphabetizing upon creation @brandon:
Just noticed that this is fixed now… So it seems that one of Natively, Discourse, Firefox or Apple changed something
I’m getting 404s again when trying to book search or look at a book’s page. @brandon for safety.
Same here. I can access my books without problems however.
On chrome, android
Had to happen again while @brandon is sleeping
Don’t have this issue. Maybe it’s mobile only? (I am on PC)
Nah, I’m on PC and seeing it. Can you search for a book and see the search page results?
Edit: actually, the site it cooperating again… I’ll have to keep an eye on it.
Seems fixed for me too…
I think I figured out where that issue is coming from now… fixed up yours and a few other accounts now.
I’m surprised you hit this so early, I only got the alert an hour after this (which is when it was fixed)…
Gotta get those issues under control…
very odd bug for ふしぎ駄菓子屋銭天堂 | L23
all volumes are double. restarting browser doesn’t fix it.
However, if I do a hard reload it reverts back to apparently an old version, where the volumes are correct, but the sync is now from a year ago.
However, if I then do a soft reload, it’s again showing the 2024 version with all the double entries.
The page was apparently synced recently, so that might be at the root of this.
I tried with 2 browsers (Vivaldi and Edge) and both behave the same, so I don’t think it’s a ‘my browser’ issue but it could be a Chromium issue. (I don’t have any other browsers installed.)
Edit: Apparently sync failed, volumes still double.
Looks fine for me. That’s one weird bug
Mmm, I see that too. Looks like for the duplicate pairs one is the Amazon paperback and one the Amazon Kindle ebook, so presumably Natively’s sync has failed to spot this (maybe they show up funny in the Amazon data).
This does raise a question I’ve vaguely had in the back of my mind about the automated series sync – for series cases where a manual fix to the data has been made on the Natively end, does an auto sync just overwrite the manual fix, does it get merged in somehow, or does it need manual intervention to complete?
Gradings can take like 20-30 seconds sometimes to go to the next one.
Not sure if this is intended behaviour.
@brandon got another bug for you. My default book summary language should be set to Japanese, but I still see English when I hover over a book on my dashboard. Language shows up correctly on search:
I can’t see any gradings for https://learnnatively.com/series/c78f246213/.
