Ah dang; not available in the US, sadly. My available platforms are Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Viki (not that this one matters for non-live action, I suppose). And Hulu if I can figure out a way to remove the subs.

If there are none removable subs I might set some paper before it. 10 or 20 missing cm of the screen usually don’t matter, that’s why the subs are at the bottom anyway.

If you watch Pokemon I will join you!! I watched an episode or two, but wasn’t enthused enough to continue on my own… But I’m short on anime, and watching it with someone else seems fun.
五等分の花嫁 seems like a good choice to me. Occasional tricky vocab, but overall I think on the easier side to follow
Just move it back to whatever status you want, after it moves it into Watching. (Usually in my case that means Stopped)

Oh, I’ve wanted to watch/read that for a while; thanks for reminding me! I’ll have to add that to the list to watch when I’ve got a longer block of time…
In other news, today was my first day back in office for the year, which means my usual listening plans don’t apply, since I tend to watch my shows in the early morning. Instead, I figure for now I’ll listen to podcasts (Nihongo con Teppei specifically) during my commute; that’ll give me about 40 minutes worth of listening, so I only need to find one other 20 minutes period of the day to meet my daily goal.

Finished another episode of 君に届け S1 | L24; I experimented a bit and tried @bungakushoujo’s method of watching the actor’s lips and quickly referencing the subs when needed, but either the actors are too quiet for me to hear properly or I get nervous and try to check subs anyway, so I don’t know how much of a success it was, haha.
Tried the first episode of 五等分の花嫁 | L23, and it was easier to understand than I thought it would be, but now I’m afraid the first episode’s just here to trick me. 
May try episode #2 tomorrow and make a decision based off of that.

Update time~
Jan 9 - Yesterday was podcast day; I tried to watch a bit of 君に届け S1 | L24 but got distracted, and never really sat back down in front of the TV again. Instead I listened to two episodes of YuYuの日本語 and one episode of 4989 American Life, as recommended by @shitsurei, @暁のルナ, and many others from podcast recommendation lists. I’m definitely enjoying YuYuの日本語; it feels like a good difficulty to me, and I like having two speakers to bounce between. 4989 I need to give a bit more time, but once I get used to her speaking style and speed I don’t foresee too many issues. It’ll be nice to have some more podcasts to weave in between my usual Nihongo no Teppei.
Jan 10 - Still in the works. I sat down to actually watch through the episode of 君に届け S1 | L24 I started yesterday, but I got distracted yet again, this time by snow!

Jan 10 - Turns out I had like five minutes left of 君に届け S1 | L24, so I was able to finish that up before bed. Otherwise I started listening to 最弱テイマーはゴミ拾いの旅を始めました。 | L23, which is going to kill two birds for me: one, listening practice. Two, bingo square for audiobook! 最弱テイマー is going okay so far; the fantasy vocab trips me up the most, I think, and then I get all confused and misunderstand the “regular” vocab that comes after. The audiobook is just under 10 hours, so I’m hoping to finish that this month with time to spare. (2 bingo squares in one month? Be still my heart.)
Jan 11 - Another episode of 君に届け S1 | L24. I also found out, after a bit of fiddling, only some of the anime on Hulu are hard-coded with subs, which is awesome. I watched the first episode of ホリミヤ S1 | L23, and while I was able to grab a nice amount of what they were saying, I’ll probably set it down until later. I’ve already got romance-focused show with 君に届け, so I’d like to find something in a different genre for now if I can. I just need about 10 minutes more of listening to hit my hour goal today, so I’ll probably try to re-listen to some sections of 最弱テイマー to meet that.
I’m not sure if it’s aggravated to the weather and work, but I’ve had a pretty consistent low-grade headache whenever I sit down for a listening section these past few days. I’d like to give myself a few days break to see if it goes away, but it’s so hard to make up the time afterwards. I’ve been attempting to do more than an hour each day to build up a buffer for myself, but I didn’t plan on needing to use it this soon. :\ I guess I’ll just do what I can and power through for now…

Podcast search was checking out episodes of upper beginner podcasts to find something that is more interesting than Teppei for Beginners or Shun, but still easy listening for e.g. listening while cooking. This week that meant an episode of Teppei Z and Akane. I’m also calling 4989 American Life done because the podcast club’s portion is finished, I may come back for other episodes at some point in the future but have no immediate plans right now. 4 hours is a little below target to hit 30h this month, but not impossibly so.

No super interesting updates from me; I’ve been focusing on 君に届け S1 | L24 the past two days and finished four episodes, with four left. I think I’m about ready to wrap the show up; not sure if it’s a consequence of just slowly losing interest in the show or not having found something to bounce over to to alternate with.

Finished 君に届け S1 | L24! I was definitely checking out there these last few episodes, but that’s the risk you take when working with lower level, lower interest type stuff. I still liked it for what it was, though, and do recommend it for those looking for something easier to watch that’s more laid-back and enjoy high school romances.
I watched the first episode of すばらしきこのせかい The Animation S1 | L30?? (I’m a huge fan of the game), and I think I’m going to continue on with it. No subs, unfortunately, but I’m hoping near-memorization of the game’s English script will be enough to pull me through to something resembling “wow I can do this”. But on the other hand my roommate asked me to start 中学聖日記 S1 | L26 so that we can watch together, since she likes the show, so maybe I should just see if I can zoom through すばせか, since 中学聖日記’s episodes are all 57 minutes, which makes it difficult to watch a second show during my usual watching slot.
One more TV season, and I’ll have doubled all of my pre-2025 watching. XD

I find the same issue with the anime fwiw. It’s good, but it just dragged so much for some reason - to the point where I won’t watch further seasons

With the drama at least, I don’t think it helps that (season mid- and end spoilers) the main couple gets together like halfway through, and then the rest of the episodes are dedicated to side characters’ relationships. No, I do not care about your crush on the teacher that came out of nowhere :P.
