Literally today I bought the first 3 volumes of the 7th time loop villainess and the first 3 volumes of Too Perfect Saint because I wanted to bump both of those in my reading list and they were on sale on Kindle.
It totally is the Katarina-effect.

Speaking of volumes 1 and 2, just like with our current pick, both volumes should be read together as they form a complete story (arc?).
The end of volume 2 was pretty satisfying, to the point that I haven’t attempted to read volume 3+ in the many years I have owned them. They keep getting sent back to “one day™”

Probably not, especially since we’re almost done voting for our next book. If Tearmoon does win, though, we could always do a poll about how people feel about doing volumes 1-2 for that club.

I forgot if it’s in the first or second volume (but probably the first?) but there is, yes.
I agree with the others that we shouldn’t do that. I think it’s unreasonable to spend so much time on a single series for the club. It’s possible to make an offshoot club though.

I’m putting off the purchase to see if we get a digital bulk-buy sale (and not only the paper ones we got the last two months on Kindle). If someone else wants to count pages for the schedule while I wait, I don’t mind running it. If it sounds like a broken phone and/or too much pain, then let’s see if anyone else wants to.
The table of contents has 59 (???) chapters and what looks like 2 short stories in the end, so at least it’s gonna be easy to cut them up into weeks.
P.S.: If anyone else is also reading the Junior Bunko (full-furigana) edition, please note that the content of the first volume of the normal edition is divided into the first two Junior Bunko volumes, so you’ll need to get the first two of those.

I’m so excited that this was chosen! It’s one of my favorite series and was my first book in Japanese so it feels quite nostalgic. I haven’t decided if I’ll be re-reading along or just following the discussion, but I look forward to everyone’s thoughts!

Considering your PFP, that checks out . On that front, I got stuck at the end of volume 2. I own volumes 3-5, but haven’t found the motivation. I need to know ONE (1) thing, (obviously spoiler) does she become less of a ditz as things move on? Like, that’s the main problem I have with this series.
